"We're almost, well... out"
Britain almost out of troops, memo reveals
The Daily Telegraph revealed the shocking truth today. Quoting a secret memo, the head of Britain's army Gen Sir Richard Dannatt warns of a dire situation which not only calls in to question the UK's commitment to continue the fight in Iraq (troop drawdowns were announced this week), but also Britain's ability to defend the country at home.
"We now have almost no capability to react to the unexpected," Her Majesty's top General bemoans.
Scotland yard is on altert for religious extremists of all sorts. (Because nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.)
