Washington (CNN) -- Recruits were allowed to enlist after having been convicted of crimes including assault, burglary, drug possession and making terrorist threats.The statistics were released by Rep. Henry Waxman, a California Democrat who chairs the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
