I think it would be a mistake for Merkley to try to use kitschy shtick as a campaign messaging theme. It's not who he is nor is it representative of the kind of change he brings.
The ads he is using reflect the kind of candidate he is - A serious candidate tackling serious, timely issues.
Mr. Kamberg must also be a comedian, for surely, he jests...
This isn't to imply that Speaker Merkley is Republican light. I merely wish to state that his "off the shelf" establishment campaign smacks of Rovian tactics. (Oh, and I wanted to offer a gentle jab to my blogger bud Kev. He made me LOL!)
