Well, it seems US Senate candidate Jeff Merkley and his webmistress, Carla (of Preemptive Karma and Loaded Orygun fame) have parted ways. She's still shilling for Merkley online, but is under some delusion that her rants won't reflect poorly on her old boss now that she's "independent." She dropped this bomb on me today. (And Mom, NO, i have no idea what she's talking about!)

When it comes to Carla, i have moved from skepitcal to disgusted. It's one thing for her to refer to her own family as a reason for quitting early. (But really, this excuse should be reserved for AARP qualified politicians.) But to say such ugly, personal things about the relationship between myself and my partner, and it says much more about the ugliness of the Merkley for Senate "Whatever it takes" campaign.
